Our Pledge
Namaqua Masters International maintains the highest standards of food safety, halaal compliance, and export documentation. Our certifications represent decades of commitment to quality and regulatory excellence in the beef processing industry.
FSSC 22000 Certification
Our facility is certified to FSSC 22000, a globally recognized food safety management system based on ISO 22000 and additional requirements for food manufacturing. This certification demonstrates our commitment to controlling food safety hazards throughout the production process.
The FSSC 22000 standard requires rigorous documentation, regular third-party audits, and continuous improvement of our food safety protocols. Our certification covers all aspects of beef processing from animal reception through final product storage and dispatch.
Namaqua Masters International operates under full-time halaal supervision from the National Independent Halaal Trust (NIHT). All slaughter procedures are performed by certified Muslim slaughtermen according to Islamic requirements.
Our NIHT certification is recognized throughout the Middle East and meets the import requirements of major halaal markets. Full-time on-site supervision ensures that every animal is handled according to halaal principles from arrival through processing and packaging.
Export Licenses & Approvals
We will be licensed to export in 2027 of halaal beef to multiple international markets including:
United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, Egypt, Mauritius, Seychelles, and Maldives.
Each export license requires compliance with specific veterinary, halaal, and documentation requirements for the destination country. Our facility will undergo regular audits by international veterinary authorities to maintain these export approvals.
Veterinary & Government Approvals
Our abattoir is registered with the South African Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development (DALRRD) and operates under continuous state veterinary supervision. All animals undergo ante-mortem and post-mortem veterinary inspections.
We maintain approved establishment status for export markets, which requires compliance with both South African veterinary standards and the specific requirements of importing countries. Regular inspections by state veterinarians and international auditors verify our compliance.
Traceability & Documentation
Complete traceability is maintained from farm to final product. Every animal is individually identified and tracked through our system. Production records include:
Animal identification and source farm details, slaughter date and batch numbers, processing and cutting specifications, temperature monitoring logs throughout cold chain, halaal certification documentation, veterinary health certificates, and certificates of origin for export shipments.
This documentation ensures full transparency and enables rapid trace-back in the unlikely event of any quality concerns.
Ongoing Compliance & Training
Maintaining our certifications requires continuous effort and investment in training and systems improvement. Our compliance program includes:
Annual FSSC 22000 surveillance audits by independent certification bodies, monthly state veterinary inspections, regular halaal compliance audits by NIHT, ongoing staff training in food safety and halaal procedures, and continuous monitoring of temperature controls and hygiene standards.
We invest in upgrading equipment and procedures to stay current with evolving international standards and best practices in meat processing and food safety.
